This is the Hardest...

Posted by m to the lissa at 2:01 AM 0 comments
...thing I have ever done!!! The weekend started out ok, although Buck lost his job on Friday (1/18) night, that was also the last time he spoke to his father. On Saturday (1/19) we got up, got our stuff ready to head to Mollie's to go to Disneyland on Sunday (1/20). We hung out Saturday night and went to bed a little late about 12:30am. Then we got the call...Derrel (Buck's brother) called us at about 2:30am and told us that Dad was in the hospital, and when asked why..."He shot himself"! So, we got up and started making all kinds of calls, until the point our cell phones were completely dead. Then I asked Buck, just to give him the option to say yes or no, "Do you still want to go today?" "Dad would of wanted that, he wouldn't of wanted us to sit around and cry!" So, we did. We had lots of fun, as any of us would, but the day had moments of..."Ok, we are ready to wake up now" Mollie and Jason went with us, and MADE sure we had fun. They bought food, souvenirs for us, and just made us have fun to get our mind off the situation. We stayed all day and night, and honestly, we had fun. Buck says it really took his mind off of it for just a little bit. Buck and Derrel decided they didn't want to see him, not because they didn't want to, they want to remember him when they last seen him at our reception. Dawn (Buck's sister) went to Texas from Wyoming to see him one last time, and is helping out Dad's girlfriend Kathie. So, we went back to Mollie's and went to bed, got up and came home today. I have been planning most of the Funeral Services and Burial, its not an easy thing to do. Whats keeping me together during this time, I'm not sure. So now we are just taking it day by day. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Come take a look at the memorial page I made for Buck's dad.

Well Saturday night we went to Chuck E Cheese. We all had so much fun eating pizza and playing games. I know Allie doesn't look like it...But she had fun anyway... So, we got up today and went and signed Liam up for baseball. Its a Christian Baseball League http://www.cal-baseball.org/ , I have to say, this year should be lots of fun to watch baseball. Very organized league with a focus on teamwork and faith. All the teams, coaches, and ump's pray at home plate before every game. How awesome is that? After that we went to Toys R Us, Liam got a gift card from Papa Duffy and he wanted to use it to get a video game and a present for our cousin Chase (He did that on his own) so sweet huh? Then we head over to Carol's for Chase's birthday. Had some awesome pizza and cake and let the kids play a little bit. While we were there Karter and Allie hugged, I should of had my camera ready but didn't :( ...We had a full weekend, but had so much fun...

She is also teething. The top teeth are coming in now. Oh, and she has officially started to walk...she still likes to crawl around but shes getting adventurous...
